Home Addition Over Garage Wins Award

These clients were seeking a home addition that would incorporate an area off of the master bedroom that would serve as their private retreat and home office, in addition to updating their master bathroom at the same time.  Little did they know when they started working with Normandy Designer Troy Pavelka that they would achieve an addition that exceeded their expectations in both function and appearance.

It’s a rule of thumb that if you can tell there was an addition to a home, that the project was lacking in the design department.  “In this Arlington Heights home addition, I thought it was important to create interesting roof lines to really complement and better integrate it with the rest of the home,” says Troy. “This also created a more interesting interior space.”  The interior now features an updated bathroom and a cozy retreat for the homeowners, which includes a space for a home office.

“I couldn’t have been happier with how this addition turned out,” commented Troy, “Inside and out, I’m very proud of this project.”  Industry peers applaud Troy’s design work, and this seamless addition received a Remodeling Excellence Award from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, Greater Chicagoland.

If you’d like Troy to discuss your upcoming addition with you, schedule a complimentary, in-home appointment with him today!
