Between taking out a bathtub, to adding another sink and 7 ft of granite counter space, this Orland Park bathroom created by Normandy Designer Leslie Lee is hardly recognizable. The shower is now larger and includes body sprays that create a therapeutic and spa-like experience. The shower also features porcelain tile, providing easy maintenance, and is inlaid with glass tiles throughout for added detail to the bathroom. The “his and her” sink was a primary goal of the homeowners, and an element that made the bathroom look more spacious. The white sinks were surrounded with an inviting, warm granite countertop featuring detailed edging.
“The intricate, cohesive details throughout this traditional bathroom are really what make it so noteworthy,” says Lee, “From the color of the granite countertops to the exceptional shower accents, everything flows.” The cabinetry selected is a soft, linen color that grasped the light, airy feeling the homeowners had pictured, while the oil rubbed bronze fixtures add warmth to the space. Lee also selected various levels of lighting to add ambiance, in addition to their needed functionality.
This smart design allowed the homeowners to get the most out of their bathroom as possible, and truly enjoy the warmth and elegance that emanates throughout the entire space.
The bathroom earned a 2011 Remodeling Excellence Award from National Association Remodeling Industry (NARI) Greater Chicagoland, designed by Normandy Remodeling Designer Leslie Lee. It was one of twelve Remodeling Excellence Awards that Normandy received, and Leslie was able to show that thoughtful details can truly transform your bathroom.
