    Architectural Design and Sales:

Normandy Design Build Remodeling is seeking an Architectural Designer with a passion for residential design and an architectural degree or background to join our sales and design team. This position will be focused primarily on home additions, home renovations, and interior remodeling.  Designers are charged with creating a design solution, as well as the management of relationships with homeowners, from initial contact through the construction of their project. Architectural Designers meet with clients to develop design ideas for their home, compute budget ranges and price estimates, as well as select the various finishes. Designers then work with our in-house architecture and drafting team, and with our project superintendents, to ensure a successful home renovation.  Our work is exciting, fast paced, and very fulfilling.

Designers meet with clients in home, throughout the Chicagoland area, as well as in our inspirational Hinsdale showroom. We frequently work in communities with historically significant homes that require design sensitivity and creativity. Our focus is solely residential, with an emphasis on additions, kitchens, bathrooms and whole home renovations for our clients.  Normandy Designers win dozens of local and national awards every year for our remodeling excellence.

We offer the tools, systems, flexibility, and support to make motivated people successful. We back up our salespeople with a commitment to quality and integrity, which equates to a high level of referral and repeat business.

Candidates should possess an ability to communicate well with others. Architectural degree or background is preferred, ideally focused on residential work; licensing is not required. Residential Construction Superintendent:

Normandy Design Build Remodeling is seeking an individual with a passion for residential construction and loves working with people.  Hands-on experience in the trades is preferred, but prior experience in other aspects of remodeling is also desirable.

Normandy exclusively performs residential remodeling, and the Superintendent is a critical member of our team. Superintendents will manage multiple jobs simultaneously, and will make daily site visits to clients’ homes throughout the Chicago Metro area.   Superintendents are responsible for scheduling, supervising and managing various trades for multiple jobs at a time.  Excellent communication skills are required, as is daily communication with each customer. The service and experience that customers receive during construction leaves a lasting impression, and successful communication and execution of the project is critical to creating happy customers, which in turn creates a strong referral base.

Designers begin the relationship with the clients, and maintain the client relationship throughout construction.  However, Superintendents are the primary source of contact for customers during the construction phase of their project.   Our staff of architects and our expediters will support each project with plans and purchasing assistance.

Our focus is solely residential, with an emphasis on additions, kitchens, bathrooms and whole home renovations for our clients.  Normandy Remodeling wins dozens of local and national awards every year for our remodeling excellence.

Experience in residential remodeling is required, preferably at the trade level.  Strong organization and communication skills, especially digital communication (i.e. text, email, cell phones) are necessary.  Most important is the ability to develop a strong relationship with the customer while ensuring that the projects are completed on-time and to Normandy’s standards and specifications.

    Remodeling Showroom Associate:

Seeking a candidate with a passion for design, outgoing personality, and excellent communications skills to work directly with current and future customers at our two design showroom locations in Hinsdale and Glenview.  Position will involve educating prospective clients, setting appointments for our design team, and maintaining an organized and up to date showroom.

Computer drawings skills and experience with design programs such as 20/20, Sketch-up or Revit, in addition to very strong hand rendering skills would be a significant plus. Time not spent with clients will be used to create computer generated drawings of kitchens, baths and other remodeling jobs and then hand render the drawings to create beautiful full color presentation drawings for our clients.

Please submit rendering or drawing samples with resume.

Regular work days will be Thursday through Monday, including the weekends, and hours will vary based on showroom activity and may include evenings, especially during the summer. 60% of the time will be spent in the Glenview office, 40% of the time will be at our Hinsdale location.
